The production originally premiered at London’s Noël Coward Theatre and has since enjoyed seven West End seasons. It has also spawned 12 replica productions worldwide, playing to more than 1.1 million people across 17 countries and five continents. After its first UK tour in 2023, the hit supernatural thriller returns to the road in 2026, revisiting familiar venues alongside a host of new destinations.

Written by Danny Robins, creator of the hit BBC podcast and TV series Uncanny, and directed by Matthew Dunster, 2:22 – A Ghost Story won Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards, received three Olivier Award nominations, and was hailed as “a slick, chilling romp of a play” by The Guardian.

Runaway Entertainment has confirmed the cast members for the 2026 UK tour of the critically acclaimed, smash hit. James Bye who played the role of Martin Fowler in EastEnders for over ten years, will play Sam, Natalie Casey (Hollyoaks; Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps) will play Lauren, Grant Kilburn returns to play Ben having previously performed in the 2025 tour, and Shvorne Marks – who played Lauren in the 2025 UK tour, will change roles and play Jenny.

Shvorne Marks said: ‘I’m so excited to play Jenny – It’s not often you get to play two great roles in the same show! I have absolutely loved playing Lauren and I still enjoy coming to work everyday – so I’m really happy my journey with 2:22 isn’t over yet.’

At its heart, 2:22 is a chilling and gripping thriller about young mother Jenny and her husband Sam, who have recently moved into a house they are renovating. Every night at precisely 2:22am they hear strange, scary sounds echo through the home. Jenny becomes convinced the house in haunted, while Sam remains sceptical. When their old friend Lauren and her new partner Ben come round for dinner belief and scepticism clash and they agree to stay up until 2:22 to try and find out what’s really going on.

“THERE’S SOMETHING IN OUR HOUSE. I HEAR IT EVERY NIGHT, AT THE SAME TIME”

Grant Kilburn said: “Everyone who’s been part of 2:22 A Ghost Story will know how special this show is to me. Having understudied both the characters of Sam and Ben on West End at the Apollo – stepping into Ben’s shoes every night on the UK tour will feel beyond special. I’m so thrilled to be back with the Runaway and 2:22 family, reunited with Gabriel Vega Weissman, and bringing Danny Robins’s clever, thrilling script to life alongside an immensely talented cast.”
