Apple and Orchard weekend at Ightham Mote

Saturday 30 September – Sunday 1 October, 10am – 4pm

With the arrival of autumn, it’s time to once again celebrate the bounty of the Garden of England as Ightham Mote celebrates the apple and the harvest.

Pic apples

Ightham Mote’s orchard has a variety of heritage apple trees, which visitors can sample before purchasing some to take away. The apples span the spectrum from the dry cider apple, through the tart cooking apple to the sweet dessert apple. With such a variety, there’s sure to be something to meet everyone’s taste.

Along with the apples from the orchard, there will be a mini-market featuring a number of local stalls, including Tonbridge Old Fire Station cider, McCarthys Country Store baked foods, and The Fudgery. Faversham College will also be here to give some guidance on pruning your apple trees.
