Boys are coming to Babington Seniors!

Exciting development at Babington House School where the co-educational provision will extend to allow boys into Seniors in 2019.

The Headmaster has decided, after fully consulting with parents, pupils, staff and governors to extend the co-educational provision between the ages 11 to 16 and thereby giving boys the opportunity to progress into the Senior part of the school.  Babington will be taking boys into Year 7 in 2019 for the first time in its history and then continuing this in a phased approach so as to become fully co-educational by 2023.

Tim Lello, the Headmaster, said “we have been offering a first class co-educational education in our Prep Department and Sixth Form for some time now and with the news that we have been ranked as the top small independent school in the country for A Levels, it seemed the perfect time to extend our co-educational provision to include the middle part of the school.  It’s an exciting opportunity to offer our own prep boys and those in the area a chance to contribute to the future success of the top school in the country.”

Babington House School is an independent day school from 3 to 18 years, situated in a beautiful group of buildings on Grange Drive in Chislehurst, near Bromley (2 minutes’ walk from Elmstead Woods Station). From September 2019 it will be fully co-educational.

Babington strives for academic rigour in all areas and encourages pupils to become confident and able to think for themselves.

Open Morning – Saturday, 6th October, 9am to 12 noon.
