Boys Hall Becomes The First Kent Hotel To Receive A Prestigious MICHELIN Key

This October, the MICHELIN Guide Inspectors revealed their new Key distinctions, highlighting what they consider to be the most outstanding hotels in the UK and Ireland. Making history for the county, it was Willesborough’s Boys Hall that saw Kent’s first award as they scooped up an incredible One MICHELIN Key.

Just like the famed MICHELIN Stars for restaurants, the MICHELIN Keys highlight the world’s most outstanding hotels. For Great Britain and Ireland, this year’s selection includes 14 Three-Key hotels, 43 Two-Key hotels and 82 One-Key hotels, with 19 hotels newly awarded for 2025.

A stunning 17th century house that has been lovingly restored by husband and wife team Kristie and Brad Lomas, Boys Hall is beloved by locals and visitors alike. Celebrated both for its commitment to local produce showcased in its MICHELIN Guide-listed restaurant, and its nine beautifully decorated bedrooms, each brimming with charm and character.

Reflecting on the recent award, Kristie and Brad shared: “It’s a huge honour to be recognised for outstanding stays, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. A massive thank you to our brilliant team who pour their hearts into every detail, and to all of you – our guests, friends, and regulars – who make what we do so worth it.”

As the MICHELIN Guide inspectors perfectly put it: “You know you’re in for an exceptional country house experience as you approach Boys Hall, its façade cradled by foliage, its three acres of gardens oozing appeal.”

“The beautifully restored manor dates back to 1616, with each of the nine individually designed bedrooms leaning into this period charm with beams, wood paneling, and old-school floral prints. An airy, barn-like extension houses a lovely restaurant, and there’s even an on-site pub and terrace, ideal for cozying up with a drink in winter or soaking up the sun in summer.”
