Freya Rose London Unveils Two Collections For The Season Ahead
Multi-award-winning British designer Freya Rose has unveiled two new incredible collections including an autumn/winter 2025 footwear collection called ‘The Amber Hour’ and a poignant new jewellery collaboration with the esteemed Turquoise Mountain charity.
The highly anticipated autumn/winter 2025 collection is set to be a bold new chapter, rooted in Freya’s signature artisanal spirit. The collection explores the intersection of ancient Japanese art and contemporary design, capturing the strength, grace and creativity of the modern woman. Defined by its arresting palette – striking shades of deep black, jewel green, molten gold and blood orange, rendered in the finest suedes and leathers, every piece is a statement of intention and beauty, set upon Freya Rose’s iconic couture heels, hand-inlaid with precious mother of pearl, showcasing the brand’s hallmark of artisanal excellence.
The Amber Hour draws from the Japanese word Yūyake (夕焼け), meaning “burning sky” or “evening glow” – a term that sees the skies ablaze. The visual language of the collection is further shaped by the evocative brushwork of iconic Japanese art, particularly Red Fuji by Katsushika Hokusai. These inspirations breathe life into each silhouette, infusing them with both the stillness and drama of a setting sun. Sculptural lines, architectural forms, and a minimalist sensibility run through the collection, embodying the graceful discipline of Japanese artistic traditions while embracing a spirit of unapologetic modernity. Each design is an ode to creative freedom and feminine empowerment – a wearable work of art for the discerning modern muse.
The collection comprises three new couture shoe designs and a complementary Mother of Pearl clutch, each piece a true testament to sculptural beauty and craftsmanship. Designed as wearable heirlooms, styles will retail between £775–£995.
A partnership that celebrates the enduring beauty of heritage craftsmanship while empowering Afghan women artisans, this poignant new jewellery collaboration with the Turquoise Mountain charity also marks a thrilling new chapter for the brand, blending Freya Rose’s distinctive artisanal aesthetic with centuries-old techniques from Afghanistan’s rich cultural legacy.
Turquoise Mountain, founded by His Majesty King Charles III in 2006, has worked tirelessly to revive historic communities and support traditional craftsmanship across the Middle East, South Asia, and beyond. This collaboration brings a deeply personal resonance to Freya Rose, whose own business journey was supported by The King’s Trust, also founded by King Charles, and for which she now serves as an ambassador for the Change A Girl’s Life initiative.
Inspired by Afghanistan’s architectural motifs, ancient jewellery design and the storytelling of traditional craftsmanship, this unique collection celebrates a shared commitment to honouring the past while designing for the future. Each piece is created by female artisans supported by Turquoise Mountain, working in safe spaces to preserve ancestral skills and forge pathways to economic independence.
The collection launching this Friday 19 September will spotlight traditional filigree techniques; delicate, lace-like metalwork that has been practised across Central and South Asia for generations. Crafted from 18ct gold-plated sterling silver, each design carries symbolic resonance and artisanal soul.
