Cancer Research UK: Collaborate – Motivate – Accelerate
COVID-19 has slowed down our efforts to beat cancer. A drop in our fundraising means we have less money available for life-saving research but we will never stop.
At Cancer Research UK, we expect to see a 30% decline in fundraising income over 20/21, and we’ve already made £44m cuts to our research this year, but we won’t stop making progress to save more lives.
1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime (born after 1960). We know that research is the answer. Our research has played a role in developing 8 of the world’s top 10 cancer drugs and it’s helped prove the value of cervical screening, which now prevents thousands of deaths every year.
Despite COVID-19, we won’t stop making progress for people affected by cancer. We are absolutely determined to continue our research. But we need your help today.
We know it’s a difficult time of year for many people, but if you feel able to support in any way we would be so appreciative. There are lots of different ways you can show your support, either by donating, fundraising or simply sharing our message.
