Challock Primary School’s Virtual – Twelve Days of Christmas

Not ones to let isolation affect their Christmas performance, Potter Class at Challock Primary School decided to surprise their teachers with a virtual concert offering instead.

The class spent weeks learning the words and actions to the classic Twelve Days of Christmas, only to have their Christmas concert cancelled as the children had to isolate before the wider closing of the school before the end of term.

Undeterred, the 5 and 6 year olds in Year 1, assisted by some enthusiastic parents led by Michelle Lloyd and Holly Howard, filmed their brilliant musical efforts at home with Max Philo from local company Modus Film Productions editing the piece together as an end of term surprise for the children, their teacher Mrs Higginson, TA Mrs Rees and Headteacher Mrs Sweet.

Commenting on the surprise Mrs Higginson said: ‘Oh my goodness! This is incredible and bought a tear to my eye! Well done everyone what a magical performance, and thank you to all the grown ups for filming and putting this together. What a treasure! Christmas really has started now!’

We think you’ll agree it’s the spirit lifter we all need right now – well done Potter Class!
