CINEWORLD DOVER CELEBRATES FANTASTIC FIRST YEAR

Cineworld Dover will celebrate its one-year anniversary on the weekend of 9th and 10th March, after welcoming over 158,000 cinema-goers in its first year.

The 909-seat state of the art cinema, located in St James Retail and Leisure, has shown over 252 films across over 7,670 screenings, playing the biggest blockbusters and delivering thousands of hours of movie magic for local residents.

What’s more, Dover cinema goers are big fans of action-packed movies such as Avengers: Infinity War, Incredibles 2 and Bohemian Rhapsody, all featuring within the cinema’s top five performing films of the last year.

To mark its first birthday, Cineworld Dover is inviting local residents on Saturday 9th March to join in the festivities and activities planned for its landmark anniversary. Celebrations will include a wheel of fortune, handing out birthday cake plus amazing giveaways and opportunities to win goodies. Lucky winners could get their hands on complimentary cinema tickets, food & drink vouchers and even movie merchandise.

In honour of the release of Marvel Studio’s Captain Marvel and International Women’s day on Friday 8th March, the cinema are also thrilled to welcome players from the Wildcats Girls Football Centres in Kent and the Ladies Vets sessions across the County to help them celebrate, and enjoy the new Marvel movie – starring Brie Larson.

Rachel Drury, Cineworld Dover General Manager, said: “It’s been an incredible first year and we’ve loved being part of the local community; and showcasing a great selection of films. On Saturday we’ll be giving away lots of prizes and goodies, so what better way to show our gratitude than giving back to the movie-loving community who have helped support our first year. We are very excited that the celebrations coincide with the opening of Captain Marvel.”

Cinema fans can take advantage of the Pick & Mix selection and enjoy Baskin Robbins ice cream as part of their cinema experience, as well as Movies for Juniors screenings. The cinema is also available for private venue hire, for events such as children’s parties and conferences.

You can also join Cineworld Unlimited for just £17.90 per month.
