Dangerous Diablo Spicy Mezcal Margarita

A limited edition launch for Halloween, Dia de Los Muertos, giving a twist on Tom Savano’s margarita by including artisan mezcal for extra smokiness, and hand-infused scotch bonnet chilli.  Mexicans believe the dead aren’t truly gone and are just in another world where a barrier separates us.

On the Day of the Dead, the barrier dissolves, allowing loved ones to reunite for a day of feasting, drinking and dancing. So it’s a real departure from the western view of death being scary and the end.

It’s normalising it, rather than treating skeletons and spirits like something terrifying, and gives a great excuse for a party!  There’s a saying in Mexico: “Para todo mal, mescal, y para todo bien, tambien” or “For everything bad, Mezcal and for everything good as well!  If you’ve never tasted the smoky earth flavours in this agave-based spirit, then your world is about to be rocked.
