Deckhouse, the independent day to night brunching and dining spot, is set to open in Sevenoaks town centre at Bligh’s Meadow Shopping Centre on 18th September. Following the success of its Taunton venue, which opened at the end of 2022, the brand has chosen Sevenoaks as the location for its second beachside-inspired eatery. The opening of Deckhouse will create 30 new jobs for the town.

The new 3000 sq ft venue will have a total of 90 covers inside and an additional 40 outside in a covered and heated terrace area. It will take over the former Bill’s site on London Road.

Deckhouse is all about creating a space where guests can escape the everyday, get together and share great food and drinks all day long. From breakfast, brunch and coffees through to lunch, dinner and cocktails at sunset, the Deckhouse experience flows naturally from day through to night. Guests are welcome to pay the Deckhouse a visit for big occasions, laid back lunches, cocktails and catch ups, or even just a slice of handcrafted cake and a coffee.

Inspired by the spirit, freedom and escapism we find in our amazing coastline and beaches, the new Sevenoaks restaurant will boast a beautiful interior which mirrors these themes with a tranquil colour scheme.

Open from 9am, Deckhouse’s laidback all-day menu kicks off with breakfast and brunch. Highlights include classics like Eggs Benedict and Avocado Toast as well as their own signature Deckhouse brunch specials including Shakshuka and Fried Chicken and Eggs. Brunch flow into lunch with many of the dishes served right through till 5pm,  complimented by a selection of outstanding sandwiches and salad bowls. A tapas menu is served all day and into the evening providing the perfect excuse to graze the afternoon away. Highlights include sriracha maple glazed prawns, patatas bravas with chorizo, warm flatbreads with red pepper hummus, and cajun cream wild mushrooms. There’s also some incredible burgers on the menu all day and night plus a range of seasonally changing large plate options including Deckhouse Fish and Chips, the Steak and Stilton Pie, Romesco charred Chicken and Beetroot Tarte Tatin. The menu caters for all dietary needs and has plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians along with a children’s menu perfect for 10 years and under.

Deckhouse is also home to a brilliant Bottomless Brunch with all the ingredients for the ultimate laid back brunching occasion. Choose from classic brunch dishes like Eggs Benedict or opt for heartier choices including burgers, fish and chips and big healthy salads. Whatever you choose it will be served with 90 minutes of free-flowing Prosecco, cocktails or beer. Cocktails on offer include Tom Collins, Aperol Spritz, Mimosa and Mojitos. Soft drinks are also included so guests can mix and match throughout the experience. It will be served Thursday – Sunday starting at 11am and last sitting at 5pm .

At the bar there’s a great selection of drinks pouring from local beers including Five Grain Lager to cracking craft brews like Bear Island East Coast IPA. Plus there’s fantastic cocktails and a fine selection of wines all served by the glass and bottle.

The venue will also welcome the community with monthly events including wine and tapas tasting evenings, and is the perfect place for parties and celebrations of all shapes and sizes.
