This week, Dobbies stores in Ashford and Gillingham are set to launch brand new Food Halls, a place where customers can shop a range of the finest food and drink products from much-loved brands and local suppliers.

The new Food Halls will officially open to the public this weekend with sampling days across Mother’s Day weekend (25th and 26th March), giving shoppers the chance to sample some of the delights on offer.

The Food Halls in both stores will include artisan food and drink goods from dozens of local suppliers, including Butcher of Brogdale – who will be retailing in both stores, Baker’s Bicycle, Curd and Cure, Page & Sons and Kent Chilli Farm.

As part of the new offering, the restaurants in both store’s will also be offering an exclusive, premium Butcher’s Breakfast including sausages and bacon, fresh from the Brogdale butcher – the perfect meal to get you set up for a full day of gardening… or shopping.

Sherrianne Spearpoint, Garden Centre Manager at Dobbies Ashford said; “We are thrilled to officially unveil not just one, but two brand new Food Halls in Kent this weekend. A lot of effort and planning has gone into getting everything ready on time and I’m positive our customers in both stores will be delighted when they stop in.

“It was so important for us, at Dobbies, to use this opportunity as a chance to engage with local suppliers in Kent – we’re incredibly lucky to have a wealth of farmers, butchers, bakers and cheesemongers on our doorstep. We recognise there’s a real appetite for shopping local and we hope our customers will agree the Food Halls in Ashford and Gillingham really do have something for everyone.
