Docker Bakery & Brewery Announce Festive Plans in Folkestone

Docker Bakery and Docker Brewery are delighted to invite the Folkestone community to a full day of festive celebration at the Docker Christmas Fete & After Party. A two part event taking place on Saturday 20 December designed to bring people together through incredible food, craftsmanship and the warmth of the holiday season.

This year’s festivities begin at Docker Bakery, where from 12pm until 4pm, guests can enjoy an afternoon filled with seasonal flavours, family-friendly entertainment and a fete-style experience under the bakery’s twinkling lights. At 4pm, the celebrations will continue just a 10 minute walk away at Docker Brewery & Taproom, where there will be hosting an evening of cheer, craft drinks and live music that carries the festive spirit late into the night.

Building on the success of Docker’s previous community events, this year’s Christmas Fete offers an expanded showcase of festive treats and artisan goods. The day will highlight Docker’s dedication to championing local producers, supporting sustainable causes and fostering community connection during one of the most meaningful seasons of the year.

Guests can indulge in the full Docker Christmas Range featuring a wide variety of freshly baked, seasonally inspired favourites including mince pies, gingerbread, orange and clove shortbread, amoretti biscuits, chocolate orange cruffins and Christmas focaccia. Mulled beverages, a wide range of Docker beers and soft drinks will also be served to keep guests warm and cheerful.

Docker is proud to support The Respite Association once again this year. The charity provides essential breaks for unpaid carers. £1 from every Christmas Stollen sold will be donated to their vital work. Each loaf is handmade at Docker Bakery, and filled with festive spices, cranberries, citrus zest and rich marzipan.

Through the afternoon, guests can browse a curated selection of Docker merchandise, foodie-focused gifts and a range of bakery recipe books. Local producers will also be celebrated on-site; spirits from Kent’s Pleasant Land Distillery, wines from Terlingham Vineyard and Neapolitan sourdough pizza from Alkham Valley Pizza.

There will be live entertainment provided by Jimmy and the Riddles, a dynamic full band known for their rousing fusion of reggae, ska and dub.  There will also be performances by Eve and Shepway Community Choir Carol Singers, adding to the magical winter atmosphere. Visitors will have the chance to take part in the Docker Christmas Raffle, with exciting prizes and hampers to be won.

As festivities at the bakery come to a close, the celebrations will continue at Docker Brewery & Taproom, where the holiday spirit lives on well into the evening. The space offers partygoers the chance to raise a glass of Docker beer, poured straight from 500 litre serving tanks, for the freshest taste around. The evening will be further elevated by the vibrant sounds of Katie Bradley & The Snooks, starting at 5pm. Fronted by award winning vocalist Katie Bradley, the Snooks are a local blues fusion band that has quickly become a favourite at the Brewery.

Join the team for a day of community, craft and Christmas spirit – Docker style.
