ESQ cocktail bar at 100 Queen’s Gate Hotel launches live music nights every Monday and Wednesday for the rest of 2023

As the days get shorter and busier in the lead up to Christmas, treat yourself to an evening of live music with expertly crafted cocktails at 100 Queen’s Gate’s subterranean bar, ESQ, in South Kensington.

With a grand piano, velvet chaise lounges, and a fully stocked bar, ESQ is a luxurious and intimate setting for enjoying cocktails and dinner after a long day of Christmas shopping or work.

ESQ will be hosting live music every Monday and Wednesday until the end of 2023, with resident musicians Ashten York, a West End trained classical singer and multi-instrumentalist, and Guido Spannocchi, a jazz saxophonist trained at the Conservatoire of Vienna specialising in contemporary jazz.

A sophisticated and discreet subterranean bar, ESQ specialises in crafted cocktails and innovatively infused spirits. The bar’s expert mixologists create unique cocktails inspired by the hotel’s history and heritage. Guests can enjoy a relaxed and intimate atmosphere while sipping on their favourite cocktails accompanied by a paired back but exquisite food menu.

Highlights from the menu include the Sochu Gibson cocktail, a light cocktail with sweet and herbaceous notes based around one of the most iconic Japanese spirits, with Sweet Potato Shochu, Yuzu, Cocchi Americano, Sakura Cherry Syrup and Chartreuse, and the Beach Comber, inspired by Indonesian nights with Pineapple Rum, Rémy Martin VSOP, Mango & Peach Purée, Apple & Lime Juice, Mango & Bergamot Syrup. These can be paired with mezze and antipasti sharing platters, or bar bites including pea arancini, padron peppers and truffle fries.

Ashten York will be performing every Wednesday between 18:30 – 20:30.

Guido Spannocchi will be performing every Monday between 19:00 – 20:30, as well as Friday 24th November &  Friday 15th December.
