The team at Folkestone Harbour Arm said:

‘With a highly successful first year under our belts, we’re delighted to announce that our Festive Marketplace will return for 2022, every Saturday and Sunday from 19th November – 24th December

11am – 6pm, with additional dates on Friday 23rd December, 11am – 6pm.

This year, we’re also introducing two late night shopping experiences: Thursday 24th November and Thursday 15th December, 5pm – 9pm.

Supporting small, independent businesses has been at the centre of what we do since we first reopened as a visitor attraction in 2015. For 2022, our Festive Marketplace has nearly doubled in size, and will this year become home to 35 independent makers, creatives, and producers. Visitors can explore and discover a variety of treasures from presents for your pooch and ceramics to handmade jewellery, sweet treats and original artworks.

Our expansive and exciting Festive entertainment programme is also set to return, substantially scaled up from 2021. More than double the amount of Christmas classics on the Harbour Screen (all free) and more live music and entertainment. We’re also delighted to be able to confirm that our Traditional Carol Service is set to return to the Harbour Station this year.

The Goods Yard, our outdoor food, drink and live events venue will be open, located just next to the Festive Market. Traders will also be introducing a variety for Festive items to their menu, as well as a variety of mulled wines and ciders. With more sheltered seating and heaters recently introduced, there really is no where better to explore a variety of street-food offerings in the depths of winter.

We’re also excited to announce that we’re introducing a Pop-Up Festive Food Village, exclusively for 2022. Located behind the Festive Market, this additional food & drink arena will become a temporary home for some traders you know and love, including Burrito Buoy (Fresh Mexican) and Minutas Al Paso (Argentinian street food) as well as a host of new faces we can’t wait for you to meet.

After developing a reputation over the past 5 years as the place to spend long summer days, our mission is to use our Festive Marketplace to develop Folkestone Harbour’s identity as a year-round tourist attraction.’
