Fremlin Walk promises ‘One Great Day’ in aid of national and local charities

This Saturday on 15th October, Fremlin Walk will be taking part in the national fundraising initiative ‘One Great Day’ to raise funds for both Great Ormond Street Hospital and chosen local children’s charity Demelza.

To mark the occasion, shoppers are invited to visit Fremlin Walk to enjoy a number of fundraising activities. El Baldiniho the Magician will be performing a spellbinding show every hour between 11am to 2pm, and children will also have the opportunity to take part in a colourful clown trail around the centre to win some freebies, including lollipops, badges and stickers.

Centre Manager of the scheme Lloyd Wright explained, “We are delighted to be taking part in the One Great Day campaign to raise funds for two charities that provide crucial care for children in need. Not only is this event a great cause, but we’re also looking forward to a day full of family fun!”

The event is free to attend but small donations will be encouraged to participate in each activity. 50% of the proceeds raised will be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital and the remaining 50% will be donated to Demelza.

One Great Day is a UK-wide annual charity fundraising event that raises money and support for Great Ormond Street Hospital and local children’s charities close to the heart of each community. Chosen charity Demelza provides specialist care and support for seriously or terminally ill babies, children, young people and their families across Kent, South East London and East Sussex. Their support ranges from diagnosis, day-to-day family life, times of crisis and end-of-life.
