As families welcome the first half term holiday of 2024, Bewl Water in Lamberhurst, Kent, sets to be a hive of activity offering discounts, free hot drinks, and engaging free activities across their 800-acre parkland. Welcoming children of all ages to enjoy the fun factor of the great outdoors and beyond, keeping the kids entertained will be a breeze this half term. So, what’s Bewl Water got on offer?

20% off all-day bike hire

Bewl Water is the South East’s largest reservoir, with family trails for walking and cycling circling the water’s edge, making it a fantastic place for families to get good use out of the 20% discount on all-day bike hire. Family-friendly trails weave in and out of the woodland and waterside, allowing visitors to make their cycling adventures as short or as long as they would like. Bookings can be made online at, where the discount is automatically applied.

The adventure Pirate Ship – FREE

Children are invited to enjoy the Pirate Ship Playground for a good old run around this half term. With views of the reservoir, it’s the perfect spot to let your little one’s imagination run wild. Featuring a huge slide, towers to climb, a trim trail, and a sweeping wooden ship to explore, children will leave feeling happy and worn out by the time you head home!

Ranger Bear’s Winter Quest – FREE

With every twist and turn leading your little ones to discover areas of wildlife, creepy crawlies, and birdlife, Ranger Bear’s Winter Quest is a free, interactive adventure in Bewl Water’s enchanted woodlands and is sure to keep little ones active this half term. Maps are available to collect from the Waterfront Café, where a selection of delicious snacks, ice cream, lunch boxes, and drinks are also available to enjoy.

Free hot drinks at soft play

Throughout February, Bewl Water is offering parents and caregivers a free hot drink with every soft play booking. Located in the same building as their dog-friendly Waterfront Café, the soft play playground is full of ups and downs, sky tunnels, balance bars, double duo race slides, and a swinging snake jungle. Soft play sessions cost £5 per child for an hour of fun. Adults and children under 12 months go free and can enjoy the dedicated toddler and baby area. Bookings can be made online at

Discounted Laser Tag Sessions

Finally, Bewl Water’s laser tag arena is also locked and loaded with selected sessions bookable for a discounted rate of £12.50 per person (usually £15). This adrenaline-fuelled activity is set to welcome your children to gear up in industry-leading equipment, strategise with their friends, and enjoy the thrill of three fully interactive combat games.
