Looking for a unique and exciting activity to add to your summer holiday family plans? Gorilla Circus, London’s only open-air flying trapeze school, is back for the summer season, bringing the thrill of flying trapeze to London’s Regent’s Park and Kensington Gardens. 

Perfect for kids aged eight and up and providing endless fun for the whole family, whether you’re seeking an adventurous day out, a memorable birthday experience, or a chance for kids (and adults!) to challenge themselves in a safe, supportive environment, Gorilla Circus offers beginner-friendly trapeze classes for all abilities.

Participants are invited to learn basic aerial skills, swing from the trapeze and even experience the exhilarating catch exercise under expert guidance. Classes run as flexible drop-in sessions or structured courses, making it easy to fit into busy summer schedules. 

Each two-hour session is designed to accommodate both beginners and those seeking to refine their skills, allowing all to discover the art of aerial performance in a safe, supportive and truly inspiring environment. Each session begins with exercises to prepare the body for aerial activities before students are introduced to basic techniques on a low-hanging bar to help build confidence and form. With expert guidance, participants will then ascend to the platform to attempt their first swings and tricks. As a thrilling finale, students have the opportunity to be caught mid-air by an instructor on a separate swinging bar.

For those who develop a passion for the art form, higher-level classes are available, focusing on refining technique, drilling timing and incorporating conditioning exercises to improve form and strength. As students progress, they work towards more advanced tricks, using specialist equipment such as twisty belts and training with professional catchers.

Throughout the year, Gorilla Circus hosts student showcases and performances to celebrate participants’ progress. These are vibrant, fun-filled events that offer friends and family the chance to cheer on what students have achieved.
