“One of the most common missteps is leaving groomsmen outfits until the last minute. Proper tailoring takes time (and is the make-or-break of an outfit!), and rushing the process often means compromising on fit.

“We know couples have an idea of how they want their groom/groomsmen to look, and sometimes this doesn’t actually fit with the seasonality of the wedding (or the venue!) 

Although the UK weather has a mind of its own, it’s worth being realistic about fabrics and what works best for the season. A heavy tweed suit in the height of summer rarely ends well, but lighter options like linen can still look sharp while keeping things breathable and comfortable.” 

6. Choosing Outfits That Can’t Be Worn Again

“A well-chosen suit should earn its place beyond the wedding day. Investing in versatile pieces means your groomsmen will reach for them again, rather than leaving them in the wardrobe.” 

7. Failing to Coordinate with the Bridal Party

“Cohesion on the day is key. Your suits should complement not only the overall style of the wedding, but the bridal party, too. When it comes to accessories, simplicity often works best. Neutral or navy tones, including richer shades like chocolate brown, create a timeless and elegant look without distracting from the bride or the overall feel of the day.”
