Hampton by Hilton, Slatters Hotel: Rooftop CGI Images

Construction is still but slowly progressing amid the nationwide lockdown and the official opening of the 130-bed Hampton by Hilton hotel still planned for 2021. Independent of the new Slatters hotel and ground floor commercial units, is a roof-top restaurant which will provide a unique experience unlike anything else available in Canterbury.

Access to the restaurant will be off St Margarets Street and through the renovated grade-two listed Georgian building. This will then take you into a reception and greeting area before being directed up to the roof via a dedicated lift.

Once on the roof-top restaurant, diners will be able to enjoy un-restricted views towards the cathedral within an enclosed environment, or choose to dine & relax on an external terrace.

The restaurant will offer a high-end eating, drinking and service experience. Central to the restaurant will also be a bar where guests can also sit and enjoy direct views out towards the Canterbury and the cathedral.

Given the uniqueness, we anticipate the restaurant will become a destination venue in itself and will help to attract more visitors to Canterbury. It will also serve as an event space for businesses, social events, wedding receptions and parties and will complement the services of the hotel locate directly below.
