If you’re looking for a way to help your child prepare for moving up to the next school year, Extra Tuition Centre are offering plenty of summer holiday intensive tuition courses.

The popular holiday courses are a great way to refresh your child’s learning or work on something specific, such as 11 plus preparation. Each course runs for 12 hours over three mornings (Tuesday to Thursday, 9am–1pm), and are a great way to refresh key skills and prepare for the next school year.

The Centre offers a range of targeted support for children from Year 3 to Year 11, including:

• 11 Plus preparation – if your child is sitting the 11 Plus this year, the summer intensive courses are a great way to build momentum, fill in any gaps, and approach the exam with confidence.
• Three-day courses are perfect for Year 5 children preparing for the Kent Test or independent school entrance exams. With 12 hours of tuition across three mornings (Tuesday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm), they’ll get the focused support they need in a calm, structured setting.

Sessions run throughout the summer from both the Gravesend and Bexley tuition centres, and there is also a holiday course running in Maidstone from 12 to 14 August.

Add-on 11 Plus mock exams

Throughout the summer, Extra Tuition Centre are also running a number of 11 Plus mock exams to help children become more comfortable with test conditions. These are full-length, realistic practice papers sat under timed exam conditions and are a great way to build confidence and identify any areas to work on. Mock exams can be booked as an add-on to the intensive courses or weekly tuition or taken as a standalone option.

Summer courses for in-year tuition for years 3 to 11 are also available, as well as independent school entrance exam preparation. All courses take place over three days and run on the same dates, making it easy to coordinate siblings of different ages.
