House of Fraser supports local cancer charity with festive fashion show

On the evening of Thursday 27th November from 6pm, House of Fraser at Fremlin Walk will be hosting a special VIP Christmas shopping evening in support of local cancer charity, the Peggy Wood Foundation.

House of Fraser’s store manager, Jayne Jones, commented: “There will be a whole host of activities in store on the evening, including three spectacular fashion shows, performed by staff; dancers from Mandy Ellen Performing Arts College; and more. There will also be a free prize draw, a goody bag and refreshments for those who purchase a ticket. Tickets are £5 each and 100% of the profits will go to the foundation.”

Mrs Peggy Wood was the inspiration in raising £3.5 million through her charity, the Kent Leukemia and Cancer Equipment Fund. She helped to set up the area’s first self-referral breast screening service for women over 40 and an ambulance service to take sick children to and from London for treatment. The Peggy Wood Foundation continues to pay for equipment to improve local breast screening services.

For more information on how to purchase tickets, visit www.fremlinwalk.co.uk or keep up to date on the Fremlin Walk Facebook and Twitter pages.
