Hyatt’s ELONDI Restaurant, Bar & Terrace – a secret find in Stratford

Next time you find yourself shopping at Westfield Stratford City, or at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park waiting for a concert at ABBA Voyage or a gig, or a game at The London Stadium, take our advice and head to the beautiful Elondi Restaurant, Bar & Terrace, hidden on the third floor of Hyatt Regency London Stratford.

If it’s sunny, you absolutely want to be enjoying life al-fresco on the Elondi Terrace. It’s a lovely spot to sit outside on a warm day, but fear not, in cooler weather blankets and heaters are also available. We discovered, to our joy, that this glamorous, spacious, all-weather, hideaway – out of the sight of onlookers – serves a refreshing menu of aperitifs, beers and sprits, and an extensive offering of unexpected drinks too; including still and sparkling award-winning wines from Gusbourne and outstanding Aquavit cocktails by NUET.

The Terrace has a great, friendly vibe for groups, couples and families. You can wine and dine on the Terrace, with loads of tasty options; for informal dining choose a light bite or a sharing plate such as the House Charcuterie Platter, the gorgeous Breaded Whitebait or the Elondi Bread with Baba Ghanoush.

For fancier, more formal occasions, head indoors for The Elondi Restaurant, (headed up by a charming Sicilian chef) named in ode to ‘East London Dining’, but with a classy twist. Order salmon (steaks, flaked and smoked) fresh from Forman’s Fish Island, a traditional (but the best you ever had) handmade Scotch Egg, or a cracking Elondi Brick Lane Chicken Tandoori. Again, the restaurant is super spacious, so it’s a great place to avoid the crowds. Though, you’re still best to reserve a table when big events are happening on the park.

Being family-friendly, you can also be sure the kids’ menu is good enough for grown-ups. Starters include Hummus & Crudités, Fish Bites and Lemon Chicken Goujons, with mains to suit even the pickiest of eaters.

Next to the Elondi Restaurant and Terrace is the Art Deco-esque Elondi Bar, if you’re after a great cocktail bar in East London, this is it. Beautifully furnished with bold, cushy, plush bar chairs that pop against the dazzling, jewel-like bar – you can spend hours chatting, served by the charming team, headed up by Gibson, the chief barman, he’s a master mixer. Or instead, head for a cosy, quiet corner.

If we had to sum it up in just three words we’d say; Glamorous, spacious and delicious. What more could you ask for?

Why we love Stratford and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park;

Fantastic venues on the doorstep include the brand new indoor theme park Gravity Max, ABBA Voyage arena, the London Aquatics Centre and Lee Valley Velodrome. Surrounded by stunning parks, canal walks, tree-lined boulevards and cafés, bars, and restaurants, did you know visitors to the park can also glide the scenic East London waterways on a swan pedalo?

The London Stadium, home ground for West Ham is also an epic venue for music and entertainment world tours, Westfield Stratford City has 250+ shops, many are designer labels, and of course, there are endless restaurants, bars and attractions. In addition to these perennial greats, the park also has a heady calendar o f seasonal events. In 2025 the new BBC Music Studios will open as will Sadler’s Wells East PLUS the V&A East and V&A East Storehouse and Museum

Find the Elondi Restaurant, Bar and Terrace on the third floor of Hyatt Regency London Stratford, diagonally across from Hugo Boss in Westfield Stratford City. Only a four minute walk from Stratford tube and overground, and Stratford International.
