I Love Vintage at the Powell-Cotton Museum

I.Love.Vintage.000

With Easter just around the corner, why not make your first spring outing to the very popular I LOVE Vintage, Easter Fair at the Powell-Cotton Museum Quex Park on Good Friday 25th March 2016.

Now in its 4th Year, the popular Vintage Fair sees prettily decorated stalls throughout the Museum galleries selling a huge array of items with vintage flavour and flare. With over 20 stalls attending the event this year, you will be able to snap up all sorts of items including jewellery, hats, clothes and homewares made from vintage fabrics.

Mama Feelgoods will be opening the doors to their ‘Vintage Tearooms’, where you will be able to indulge in the wide variety refreshments available whilst enjoying musical entertainment from the fabulous local harmony group ‘Hotsy-Totsy’. Playing songs from 1930s, right up to current chart hits, Hotsy Totsy call themselves a ‘retro to contemporary girl-group’ and their set list has that vintage music feel and wonderful three part harmony.

Whilst at the Powell-Cotton Museum, why not take a stroll through the seven acres of gardens that can be explored. Whether it’s the woodland walk, the pond and listed statues or whether you are wanting to step back in time and explore the Victorian Walled Garden filled with unusual plants, you can enjoy the seasonal delights of Quex Gardens in your very own way.

Fran Mileman, one of the I LOVE Vintage organisers said ‘we are delighted to be opening our doors to many of our dedicated stall holders again this year along with some new friendly faces, and of course it’s very exciting to be welcoming Hotsy-Totsy for the first time.‘
