Inspiring Dream Homes at Build It Live!

Whether building a home from scratch or updating an existing home, the Build It Live! show at Glow Bluewater on 22nd and 23rd February 2014 is the perfect place to get some practical tips, expert advice and plenty of inspiration for your next home project. Build It Live! will appeal to all those property lovers out there from self builders to home renovators and anyone wanting their perfect individual home.

Now in its second year, the show has some exciting new exhibits for visitors to see including:

The Naked House

Designed to show a section of a new build as it comes together after ‘1st fix’ – giving a fascinating insight into how things are installed from ICF blockwork (insulated concrete forms) and underfloor heating, to the roof trusses and floor joists.

Alternative Self Build Techniques

There will be new live demos from ‘The Centre for Alternative Technology’ to inspire self builders on the merits of green building, energy conservation and renewable energy generation.

Plotsearch Zone

Will give access to Plotsearch, the UK’s premier live online database plus a gallery of current available plots of land in the South East.

Self Build Academy

Offers taster sessions of Self Build Academy training courses delivered by Potton, which is designed to give essential knowledge for all self builders.

Exhibitors will be showcasing some of the best solutions on the market for building your own home, adding more space to your existing property or fitting a new stylish kitchen or underfloor heating system. The range of exhibitors will include some of the best known names in home building and renovation including Scandia-Hus, Wunda Group, Potton and Kloeber. Other exhibitors, including Total Kitchens by George Rose, will focus on how to put the wow factor into your interior finish.

As well as finding practical solutions, visitors can see and touch thousands of innovative and traditional products and gain independent one to one advice from a team of experts who can help answer questions about your next project. Visitors can also attend any of the eight free seminars and workshops which are designed to offer advice on every aspect of a building project.

Head to the ‘Ask Our Experts’ lounge to talk to experts who will be offering free practical and impartial advice on any part of a project. It is advised to arrive at the show early to book your slot as this area is one of the most popular at the show.

Opening times: Saturday 22 February 10am to 5pm, and Sunday 23 February 10am to 5pm.

Tickets £12 per person
