Kent Design Studio Shortlisted in RICS Awards 2018

A project from Biddenden-based architectural practice, Kent Design Studio, has been shortlisted in the prestigious RICS Awards 2018 for the London region in the Building Conservation category.  The project, Inverness Terrace in Bayswater, London, was transformed from a £10-a-night 300-bed hostel into ten luxury apartments, valued at up to £4 million each.

Kent Design Studio was part of the team delivering the scheme alongside fellow Kent-based Modus Construction Consultants and headed by property developers MHA London.   Kent Design Studio provided building regulation drawings & detailed technical design, working with Westminster’s conservation officer to discharge planning conditions & gain approval for construction methods.  Assistance was also given through regular on-site meetings throughout building & interior design stages until completion.

The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction & infrastructure.  Across eight individual categories, the awards are regarded as the premier property and construction awards in the country.  London’s regional winners will be announced on 16th May 2018, and will then go through to the Grand Final and the chance to compete for Project of the Year 2018.

Kent Design Studio offers architectural services for projects of all sizes & budgets throughout Kent & the South East.  More information can be found at www.kentdesignstudio.co.uk
