Kent’s Quex Foods triumphs at Great Taste Awards
Quex Foods, producers of Kent Crisps and Kentish Oils, has won an array of gold stars at this year’s Great Taste Awards.
Based at the Quex Park Estate in Birchington, Quex Foods scooped awards for:
- Kent Crisps Sea Salt
- Kent Crisps Ashmore Cheese and Onion
- Kentish Oils Cold Pressed Rapeseed
- Kentish Oils Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil Blended with Jalapeno Chilli
- Kentish Oils Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil Blended with Lemon
The prestigious awards are organised by the Guild of Fine Food to celebrate the UK’s best speciality foods. Judges commended Kent Crisps are ‘wonderfully crunchy’ with ‘well-balanced flavours’. Of Kentish Oils, the judges wanted to take them home!
Kent Crisps, which reflect the tastes and landscapes of the Garden of England, are made using own home-grown potatoes and hand-cooked for premium quality and texture. While Kentish Oils are made with rapeseed grown and hand-pressed on the estate.

The Kent Crisps range includes another three flavours: Roast Beef and Spitfire Ale; Oyster and Vinegar; and Sea Salt and Biddenden Cider Vinegar. And Kentish Oils also offer a natural rapeseed, and a blended garlic and herb flavour.
The Great Taste Awards are the most trusted and recognised food and drink awards with 350 experts judging which entries would achieve the coveted gold standard.
