King’s School Rochester celebrates strong A Level results

There were smiles all round at King’s School Rochester this morning as pupils gathered to open their A Level and BTEC results, celebrating a fantastic set of academic achievements and securing places at leading universities and institutions across the country.

Continuing an impressive upward trend, 36% of all A Level grades were awarded at A*– A, while 65% were awarded at A*– B, representing significant year-on-year growth in the school’s highest grades.

Among the individual successes, Chester achieved an exceptional A* A* A and an A* in EPQ , securing his place to read History and Politics at the University of Oxford.

Chester shared that he felt “happy and relieved at the same time.” He expressed particular pride in his A* grade in Politics, remarking, “I worked really hard for that. It’s nice to see it all come through.“

Reflecting on his time at King’s, he praised the staff, saying, “the amount of support from all the teachers is incredible” and added, “I really, really couldn’t do it without all the support from the school.” His advice for pupils sitting their A-levels next year is: “Do the work. You’ve got to revise, know your stuff, but other thanthat, just try not to stress too much… You do your best when you’re relaxed. So just take a deep breath, and you’ll be fine.“

Ralf achieved A* A A and an A* in EPQ, earning a place at the University of Warwick to study Mathematics , whilst Tiffany achieved A A B and an A* in EPQ, securing a place at Queen Mary University of London to study Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence .

These achievements reflect not only strong academic performance, but the breadth of opportunities and pathways available to King’s pupils. This year’s destinations include leading Russell Group universities such as Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, King’s College London, Manchester and Nottingham, alongside places at specialist institutions and exciting degree-level apprenticeship programmes.

Demonstrating the diverse talents of the Class of 2026, pupils have also secured coveted places at the world-renowned Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) , while others are progressing into degree apprenticeships and a wide range of exciting opportunities.

Simon Fisher, principal of King’s School Rochester, expressed his pride in the cohorts accomplishments: “We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Upper Sixth pupils today. Our results continue to go from strength to strength, with particularly impressive increases in the proportion of grades awarded at A*– A and A*– B.

“These achievements are a true testament to the academic ambition of our pupils, alongside the unyielding support of our dedicated staff and families.

“At King’s, we pride ourselves on nurturing the individual, and it is wonderfully rewarding to see our young people fulfill their potential and step forward into exciting futures with confidence. We are immensely proud of the Class of 2026 and wish every one of them the very best for the future.”

The school’s BTEC Sport pupils also celebrated an outstanding set of results, with the cohort achieving Distinctions or higher across the board , recognising the commitment and dedication of both pupils and their teachers.

Today’s celebrations mark the culmination of years of hard work for the Class of 2026, with pupils now preparing to embark on a diverse range of academic, professional and creative journeys. Read more success stories on the website here: King’s School Rochester 2026 A Level Success Stories.
