Macknade Fine Foods is gearing up for its third ‘Last Fridays’  event with a Halloween half term special on Friday October 26th.

Customers are invited to the Selling Road  Food Hall from  2pm  to enjoy a plethora of activities for children on The Deck. There will be free face painting, apple bobbing and a fancy-dress competition for the best-dressed child.

Macknade are once again teaming up with the early reading experts, Reading Fairy, for an afternoon of spooky storytelling sessions aimed at children aged 1-5 years old  Sessions take place at 2pm and 3pm  and parents must book in advance by visiting https://www.readingfairy.com/canterbury/.

The event isn’t just for children though. There will also be a bar serving seasonal drinks from MightyFineThings and dishes cooked on Macknade’s Big Green Egg all afternoon and into the evening.

Local six-piece band, Covered, will be playing a set of rock,  pop & soul classics from 6pm onwards. Covered are a Canterbury based band, who regularly gig around the local area and play a wide variety of covers including Bon Jovi, The Police & Kings of Leon, and are guaranteed to have everyone up on their feet.
