Local children recognised for their achievements at intu Bromley this Christmas
On Sunday, intu Bromley awarded some of the most sought after toys to deserving children from local schools as part of their top 12 Christmas toys competition.
Entrants were invited to write about something they were particularly proud of this year such as helping a family member or a friend through a difficult time, taking part in a charity event, achieving something amazing or overcoming a problem of their own.
The 12 winners were invited to the centre’s Christmas Grotto to receive their gifts from Santa himself.
Alfie, 7, won Hasbro’s Star Wars Bladebuilders Jedi Master – a well-deserved prize for getting along with his sister, making her smile and giving her lots of cuddles when she’s upset.
Samuel, 4, won Little Live Pets Cleverkeet for overcoming his shyness in joining a new football club and even score a goal!
“The response to this competition was overwhelming and some of the answers really touched our hearts” says Craig Higgins, intu Bromley’s marketing manager. “We were delighted to see so many smiley faces on Sunday and we hope these deserving youngsters enjoy their new toys on us this Christmas.”
The competition is part of a series of intu events nationwide inviting shoppers to come and play this Christmas. To watch intu Bromley’s Christmas advert please click here, and for more information about intu Bromley, visit http://intu.co.uk/bromley.
