Macknade & Mid Kent Mind Announce Partnership for Mental Health  Awareness Week

Faversham-based foodies, Macknade, are excited to use Mental Health Awareness  Week to announce a long-term  partnership with local mental health charity Mid Kent Mind.

As a part of their ongoing commitment to community, Macknade chose 2023 as the  first year to officially align with a local charity – with Mid Kent Mind voted for by the  team as their charity of choice.

With the ongoing cost-of-living crisis having a profound impact on mental health,  both organisations feel that this is a fantastic opportunity to work together to impact local communities.

Both organisations are excited to experiment with a range of joint initiatives  throughout the next year which will encourage awareness, start meaningful  conversations around mental health, and generate much-needed funding for the  services which Mid Kent Mind provide.

Stefano Cuomo, Macknade’s CEO, commented on the partnership:

“We are delighted to be partnering with Mid Kent Mind to drive the mental health  agenda in Faversham and beyond. Food & drink is intrinsically linked with mental  wellbeing, so it is a natural fit, and one where Macknade, and our team of nearly 70  staff, can make a real difference. I am excited to work with Henu to create a  dynamic partnership that genuinely impacts our community at a time when it is  needed most.”

Henu Cummins, CEO of Mid Kent Mind, added:

“We are incredibly grateful to Macknade for approaching us with an exciting opportunity to work together. Our work is dependent on the support of the community – so working together to champion meaningful conversations and encourage awareness around mental health is a dream partnership for us.

We are excited to use our work with Macknade to solidify our presence within Faversham – showing local residents that we are here to support them with their mental health. We’re keen to make sure that anyone in the local area knows that they can turn to us for advice, support and guidance.”

Both organisations are excited to use the partnership as an opportunity to elevate  the profile of mental health support in Faversham – ensuring that everyone in the  local area knows where they can turn for advice and support.
