McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford partners with Guide Dogs Ashford to host Handbag Amnesty

McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford will be hosting its first Handbag Amnesty, an initiative that gives a new lease of life to much loved handbags and accessories, whilst raising funds for Guide Dogs Ashford.

From the 15-26th July 2019 guests visiting Ashford Designer Outlet are invited to drop off their handbags, purses, wallets or briefcases to the Guest Services desk, located opposite Pizza Express. In exchange guests will receive 20% off at participating brands including Paul Costelloe, Osprey London, Cath Kidston, Kurt Geiger and Fiorelli.

For two days only, shoppers are encouraged to come by and treat themselves to a selection of pre-owned and designer handbags at the centre’s pop-up shop on the weekend of the 27th – 28th July.

Guests can also be in the running for a brand-new Paul Costelloe handbag with a retail value of £250. Raffle tickets will be sold for £1 each from Guest Services, with all proceeds going to Guide Dog Ashford.

Peter Corr, Centre Manager at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford commented:

“We are thrilled to be launching our first Handbag Amnesty, focusing our efforts on sustainability whilst supporting our chosen charity of the year, Guide Dogs Ashford. This special initiative will raise funds and awareness for the charity, giving back to the volunteers and dogs that continue to help make such a difference to our community.’

Guide Dogs Ashford, is built on a network of volunteers who dedicate their time to fundraising, providing support and raising awareness of the charity. Many of the volunteers are trained speakers, visiting schools and societies to educate on the remarkable difference a Guide Dog makes to the blind or partially sighted.
