McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford to welcome Pret A Manger and YO! Sushi as first brands in the centre’s £90m expansion are announced

  • First five brands opening as part of the centre’s £90 million expansion to launch this May
  • The centre’s new Food Piazza  will include Pret A Manger, YO! Sushi and Lost Sheep Coffee, while Zwilling and Paul Costelloe are the first homeware and fashion brands to open their doors

Spring is an exciting season for McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford as the centre opens its doors to the first wave of new brands and restaurants as part of its £90 million expansion.  Whether guests are looking for a shopping spree or to dine and unwind,  this May Bank Holiday is the perfect time to visit and discover what’s new.

Pret A Manger & YO! Sushi are the newest additions set to tantalise the taste buds of guests and the first brands opening in the centre’s new Food Piazza. Whether guests are looking for a scrumptious sandwich or succulent sushi, the restaurants are sure to satisfy cravings as they open for the very first time in Ashford, with Pret opening on 2nd May and YO! Sushi on the 13th May.  Lost Sheep Coffee, the hugely popular Kent coffee specialists will also be opening their bigger and better cafe in the new Food Piazza at the end of the month, ensuring more guests than ever before are able to enjoy their Australian inspired coffee beans.

For those looking to provide a Spring update to their home or wardrobe, a trip to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford is sure to offer the perfect solution. Zwilling, one of the largest and oldest manufacturers of kitchen knives, cookware and flatware will open their doors on the  2nd May, just in time to ensure guests have everything they need to dine at home this Bank Holiday weekend. Following this, fashion brand, Paul Costelloe, will also be opening doors on the 16th May. With womenswear, menswear, bags and jewellery available, the Irish-American designer brand is sure to be popular amongst fashion-focused guests looking to add a touch of luxury to their lives.

Younger visitors will also be kept entertained this May Half Term as a brand new, ‘Garden of England’, themed  children’s playground will open on the 23rd May. This Spring, guests will also get the first glimpse of Europe’s largest Living Wall, which will see centre’s new buildings clad in vertically stacked plants.

Over the years Ashford Designer Outlet have introduced highly sought-after names including All Saints, Mint Velvet,  Cath Kidston and Hugo Boss and the latest announcements of Pret A Manger, YO! Sushi, Lost Sheep Coffee, Zwilling and Paul Costelloe are the first of more leading names to launch in the centre later this year, bringing the total number of brands to over 130.

Once complete in Autumn 2019, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford’s centre expansion will introduce up to 50 new premium and luxury brands, while creating 500 new jobs for Ashford’s local community. As well as this, new facilities including an events space, Food Piazza and 725 car additional car parking spaces.
