Northbourne Park School is delighted to announce the appointment from September 2015 of Sebastian Rees as the new headmaster of the school.

Sebastian is currently the headmaster of Seaford College Prep School in West Sussex and will bring with him extensive experience of senior roles in a prep and primary school environment.  Prior to joining Seaford in 2012, Sebastian was for 6 years the Director of Studies at the Junior King’s School Canterbury,  where he moved from being the assistant Head Teacher at our neighbouring Northbourne Primary School.

In addition  to being an accomplished  subject teacher in English, History, Geography, PSHCE, Spanish, Maths and ICT,  Sebastian has also developed and assessed the school curriculum and improved learning support in his previous roles. A graduate in French of University College London, he is a fluent linguist also in Spanish and worked in two Spanish schools earlier in his career.  We are sure these are valuable skills which will maintain and develop our international programme.  He will also provide an excellent support to the sports department as he has coached boys’ sport in football, cricket and rugby.
