Ofsted “Outstanding” – Meopham School

Meopham School has been judged as “Outstanding” in its recent January 2019 Ofsted inspection.

Inspectors report that teaching is “inspirational” and leads to students who are “eager to participate in lessons” demonstrating “a joy in learning.”

The report states that pupils “make excellent progress across the curriculum” and comments on how “standards in English, mathematics and science are particularly impressive.”

Meopham School was recognised as the top performing High School in Kent for the third year running in the January 2019 School Performance Tables.

The report comments on the way leaders of the school “have worked tirelessly to successfully establish an exceptional team of staff who share leaders’ vision for excellence in every aspect of the school.”

Headteacher, Suzanne Dickinson, said, “we are thrilled with the outcome of our inspection.   Our staff and students have worked incredibly hard to create an exceptional learning environment in which everyone can thrive, both academically and in the development of character.  We are delighted that our success in our journey so far has been externally recognised.”  She added,   “We have an amazing team of staff, students and parents at Meopham School. Together, we are determined to achieve even greater excellence in the future.”
