Petworth Park Antiques & Fine Art Fair Returns This May

Mark your calendars: the much-loved Petworth Park Antiques & Fine Art Fair returns from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 May 2026, celebrating its twelfth edition in one of Sussex’s most elegant settings.

Set within the grounds of the iconic Petworth Park, this annual fair has become a highlight of the cultural calendar, drawing thousands of visitors to the charming market town each spring. Housed within a spacious marquee, the event brings together over 60 exhibitors, many of whom are members of leading trade associations, offering an exceptional standard of quality and expertise.

Visitors can expect a carefully curated selection of antiques and fine art spanning centuries and styles. From fine period furniture and antique clocks to oil and watercolour paintings, sculpture, and glassware, the range is as diverse as it is impressive. Collectors and browsers alike will also discover vintage watches, silver and jewellery, ceramics, 20th-century design pieces, prints and drawings, Oriental carpets, historical medals, and a wealth of decorative and unique works.

A Setting Like No Other

The fair once again partners with the National Trust at Petworth House, alongside local organisations including PAADA and the Petworth Business Association. Together, they create an event that blends world-class antiques with a truly special setting.

Petworth House itself, a grand 17th-century property, is home to an internationally significant art collection. Surrounded by sweeping parkland designed by Capability Brown, it offers a breathtaking backdrop that elevates the entire experience.

Plan Your Visit

Getting to the fair is straightforward, with a free dedicated car park located beside the marquee. Access is via the A272 Tillington Road through the New Lodges gate, with AA signage guiding visitors directly. (Please note: this is separate from the main Petworth House car park on the A283, which charges £4 for non-members.)

Additional conveniences include:

  • Disabled parking close to the entrance
  • Pedestrian access via the Cricket Lodge gate or Cowyard
  • A courtesy shuttle bus running hourly between the fair, Petworth House, and the town centre (11am–6pm, 5pm on Sunday)

More to Enjoy

Fair visitors benefit from free access to Petworth House throughout the event — a wonderful opportunity to explore both the fair and its historic surroundings in one visit. National Trust members and Petworth House ticket holders can also attend the fair free of charge.

When it’s time to pause, light refreshments are available inside the marquee, provided by The Naked Food Company.

Dogs that can be carried, along with guide and assistance dogs, are welcome.

Make a Day (or Weekend) of It

With its blend of fine art, antiques, and heritage charm, the Petworth Park Antiques & Fine Art Fair is the perfect excuse for a spring day out — or even a weekend escape. For those looking to extend their visit, the town of Petworth offers a delightful mix of independent shops, galleries, restaurants, and nearby attractions to explore.

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or simply in search of inspiration, this much-anticipated fair promises something truly special.
