Port Lympne’s Garden Room Restaurant, New Brasserie Inspired Summer Menu

The Garden Room restaurant at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve has become a firm favourite for fine family dining for short breaks guests, day visitors and external diners, with the Sunday Roast being hailed as one of the best in Kent. Originally the stable yard of Sir Philip Sassoon’s country estate, the Garden Room sits beside Port Lympne’s grand, Grade II listed mansion, which has welcomed the likes of Winston Churchill to Charlie Chaplin throughout the years.

New for summer 2024, the head chef at Port Lympne, Lee Edney, has curated a new brasserie inspired menu, with a casual dining feel, offering the highest quality, beautifully plated dishes to suit families and couples alike.

Lunch is served from 12pm – 3pm, offering staples such as a range of ciabattas sandwiches and a choice of burgers from the grill. Fresh salads include the Gorilla Bowl, which takes inspiration from the gorilla family at Port Lympne, made using the gorillas favourite produce, as well as a zingy Bang Bang Noodle Salad.

Dinner is served from 5pm – 8.30pm, introducing Garden Bites such as cheese croquettes and vegetable gyoza, followed by starter options including, salmon gravlax and Korean style chicken wings, working up to the main courses such as, Tomahawk Pork Chop, chicken and ham hock pie or balsamic roasted beetroot and red onion tart. There is also a children’s menu offering healthy but kid friendly options, including breaded chicken goujons, beef burgers and pasta.

Desserts include a chocolate and peanut butter mousse, passionfruit cheesecake and roasted strawberry crème brulee, accompanied by wines of the season and the Garden Club signature cocktail.

The Port Lympne summer 2024, brasserie style menu launches on 10th June, tables can be booked online:
