Rocksalt Restaurant is delighted to announce an exclusive charity lunch with Sir Jason Kenny OBE, Great Britain’s most successful Olympian, taking place on Friday 27 February. With less than two weeks to go, only a limited number of tickets remain for this highly anticipated event. 

This marks the seventh ‘A Lunch With’ event hosted by Rocksalt and the third in partnership with The Evie Dove Foundation. Through this collaboration, Rocksalt has now raised over £15,000 to support the charity’s vital work in improving outcomes for sick children and saving young lives through the education and training of paediatric clinical professionals. 

The lunch will be hosted in partnership with Ian Stafford from The Sporting Club, who will guide the afternoon’s proceedings, including the live interview and audience Q&A. Due to popular demand, Rocksalt plans to continue the ‘A Lunch With’ series, aiming to run approximately three –four events a year, blending exceptional dining experiences with inspiring sporting stories. Previous events have welcomed some of Britain’s most celebrated athletes and sports stars, including Phil Tufnell, Sir Geoff Hurst, Michael Vaughan OBE, Jason Robinson and more. 

Sir Jason Kenny, Britain’s most decorated Olympian with seven Olympic gold medals and nine medals overall, will join guests for a three-course lunch followed by a live interview and Q&A, sharing insight into his extraordinary career and the mindset behind elite sporting performance. 

Adding a creative element to the afternoon, local artist Shane Record will create a live painting during the event, which will be auctioned alongside other prizes, with all proceeds going directly to The Evie Dove Foundation. 

What guests can expect to enjoy 

Guests will be treated to a seasonal three-course menu crafted by Executive Group Chef, Marcin Szelag with Rocksalt’s signature produce-led philosophy: 

• Starter: Walmestone beetroot & caramelised red onion tart with whipped Rosary goat’s cheese, pickled walnuts, pear gel, and bitter leaves. 
• Main: Baked Rye Bay cod with ratte potatoes, braised fennel, mussels and samphire, finished with a rich bouillabaisse sauce. 
• Dessert: Set buttermilk pudding with vanilla-poached rhubarb and almond crumble.
