ROYAL VICTORIA PLACE SUPPORTS ONE GREAT DAY IN AID OF GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL
Royal Victoria Place (RVP) in Tunbridge Wells is one of 140 shopping centres across the UK taking part in ‘One Great Day’ on both Saturday 17 and Saturday 24 June. One Great Day is a series of family and community charity events being held throughout the month of June to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, and other children’s health charities from across the country. Participating shopping centres provide a special family fun activity that engages with the local community and raises money for a number of great causes.
One Great Day was established in 2014 and has so far raised over £250,000 and has now grown to include 93 different children’s charities. One Great Day now covers over 46 million square feet of retail space across the United Kingdom, from Folkestone to Aberdeen and nearly everywhere in-between!
Royal Victoria Place will be hosting two days of fun face painting activities on both Saturday 17 and 24 June to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. In 2017, RVP raised over £1,000 for GOSH and is hoping to beat that amount this year.
Marc Burchett, Marketing Manager of Royal Victoria Place, commented, “We are absolutely delighted to once again support One Great Day. This gives our staff, retailers and customers the chance to give something back to help support the wonderful work of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.”
Michal Noe, Trustee of One Great Day, said “We are thrilled to have Royal Victoria Place as one of 140 shopping centres taking part this year. This is the largest One Great Day yet, and we are so proud that One Great Day is helping so many children’s health charities across the country”.
