Servus Heidi – A Taste of Bavarian Tradition in Munich

Upon entering, you are welcomed by a warm, cosy atmosphere that exudes authentic Bavarian hospitality. The wooden interiors, adorned with alpine accents, provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience.
The menu boasts a stellar selection of Bavarian classics, each dish paying tribute to the region’s rich culinary heritage. We began our meal with the Vorspeisenbrettl, a generous sharing platter of cured meats, cheeses, pickles, and traditional spreads. Every bite was packed with flavour, offering an ideal introduction to Bavarian gastronomy.
For the mains, the Zwiebelrostbraten (roast beef with crispy onions) was an instant favourite. The beef was cooked to tender perfection, beautifully complemented by rich gravy and caramelised onions, served alongside creamy mashed potatoes. The combination of savoury flavours and textures made this dish truly exceptional.
Of course, we couldn’t leave without sampling the signature Schweinshaxe (pork knuckle), crispy on the outside and melt-in-the-mouth tender inside, served with traditional dumplings. This dish epitomises the best of Bavarian comfort food.
The drinks menu is equally impressive, featuring a wide selection of German beers, from smooth Helles to rich, malty Dunkel, each pairing perfectly with the hearty food. For something more contemporary, their Espresso Martini was a revelation – smooth, balanced, and the perfect pick-me-up to end the meal.
To finish, we indulged in the Apfelschmarrn, a fluffy shredded pancake dessert served with caramelised apples. The lightness of the pancake and the sweetness of the apples provided the perfect end to the meal.
The service at Servus Heidi is exceptional. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure a memorable experience, even offering expert beer pairings from their extensive selection.
