Today, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford announced that Starbucks and Comptoir Libanais will be the latest brands to join the centre as part of its £90 million expansion. The stores will be operated by HMSHost International, leading provider of food & beverage locations at high traffic locations worldwide. Much loved Seattle coffee house, Starbucks, will also be opening a new café at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford later in the year, providing shoppers with the perfect excuse for a quick break while they’re on the go. The café will be blending both hot and cold drinks with their ethically sourced Arabica beans, while also offering a selection of teas, juices, snacks and meal options.

Comptoir Libanais’ new restaurant will be their first in Ashford, bringing the flavours of Lebanon directly to the centre and adding global appeal. The colourful restaurant promises Middle Eastern flare, complete with a flavoursome all day menu. With everything from falafel and tagine to shakshuka or haloumi on offer, there’s something that will appeal to every visitor, making Comptoir Libanais the perfect stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The latest announcement strengthens the existing brands in the Food Piazza with the recent openings of Pret A Manger, YO! and Lost Sheep Coffee, plus the news that  burger brand, Five Guys, will open its first branch in Ashford at the Designer Outlet this Autumn. Other new restaurants joining the centre are still set to be announced in the coming months.

Peter Corr, Centre Manager at McArthurGlen Ashford said: When it officially opens this Autumn, our new Food Piazza is sure to become a favourite dining destination for locals and visitors alike. The offering has been carefully tailored to ensure there is something to suit every guest and we’re thrilled to announce Starbucks and Comptoir Libanais as the newest brands to join us.”

Walter Seib, CEO of HMSHost International: We are delighted to announce the further cooperation with McArthurGlen. Outlet shopping locations have shown a tremendous growth. Especially in the UK and we are proud to be part of that success. We share a commitment for innovation as well as to help our guests customers feel good with their food choices. Together with our brand partners, we create places where people want to be, before, during and after their shopping experience.”

Once complete in Autumn 2019, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford’s centre expansion will introduce up to 50 new premium and luxury brands, while creating 500 new jobs for Ashford’s local community. As well as this, new facilities including a brand new children’s adventure playground and 725 additional car parking spaces have already been delivered and are currently being enjoyed by the local community.
