Success In Sandwich

On 1st July, Wilkins Kennedy’s Sandwich office in Discovery Park celebrated its fourth anniversary. It has been a journey of consistent growth for the firm and it is right that we celebrate its success.

In just two short years, the office experienced tremendous growth, managing to successfully double its turnover and move into a larger more prominent office on the site. We have worked hard to establish our presence and have grown into the technological environment.

As a technological site, Discovery Park is the perfect place for our “satellite” office and we are surrounded by businesses keen to share their experiences with us as well as grow alongside us.

As part of our technology drive in July 2015 our staff went to Downing Street, where they took part in the announcement of the World Nano Foundation – a charity founded to source funding for ground-breaking technology more details of which can be found at www.worldnanofoundation.com.

In our own business, our latest success came from the recent launch of a cloud accountancy service. MyWK became an official offering in September 2016 and it offers our smaller businesses a more efficient way of bookkeeping.

It is clear to us that cloud-based accountancy services are extremely beneficial to many owner-managers, particularly for the growing business community. The service helps businesses manage invoicing, produce effective cash flow forecasts and provides an easier way to calculate VAT returns. The service is partly automated, so it saves time compared to manual bookkeeping – plus it is more secure compared to traditional desktop or paper-based solutions.

Our clients say that saving time and resources are major factors for their continued growth. Wilkins Kennedy developed this service to ensure seamless and simple integration, so that bookkeeping runs easily alongside a business’s day-to-day service delivery so that growth can be more easily managed.

These are just a couple of success stories that we have enjoyed along the way and there are many more business joining the cloud revolution. We are constantly growing our presence in Kent as we now have five offices situated across the county. As well as our long-standing offices in Ashford, Orpington and Sandwich, we now have our recently merged offices in Canterbury and Maidstone.

Wilkins Kennedy’s Sandwich office is still a young office, but there is no doubt that there has been significant progress made in the last four years. Kent is a great place to do business and this office and the overall Wilkins Kennedy business has gone from strength to strength.

Of course, we are always here if you need us and we cover a number of specialisms and services catered to meet the needs of our growing client base. If you would like some further advice relating to your business in Kent and how it can take technological, financial reporting advances forward, please contact me or one of our partners in Ashford, Canterbury, Maidstone, Orpington or Sandwich for more information.
