Summer In The City Festival at Fremlin Walk, Maidstone

Urban parkland meets Fremlin Walk!

From 19th July to 9th August, Fremlin Walk in Maidstone will be transformed into a chic city garden, complete with a dedicated astro-turfed garden area where customers can sit and relax on giant beanbags and deckchairs, while soaking up the summer atmosphere. Shoppers can also buy summer goodies from a range of summer stalls including a vintage-style ice cream van.

The party comes to life on Saturday 19th July from 12pm, with the arrival of Rio and the carnival parade. Brazil’s legendary party fever has been in the spotlight recently and Fremlin Walk is bringing a slice of the magic to Maidstone. The party will be packed with dancers, music, and stilt walkers parading along the Walk to the beat of a samba band. There will also be three parades between 12pm and 3pm for shoppers to enjoy – and even join in!

Following the carnival party, Fremlin Walk will be co-hosting a range of events for retailers to enjoy, all of which promise to be something special to help you celebrate your summer. From fitness events with O2 and green giveaways with Paperchase, to beauty and pampering on the Walk and late-night jewellery events, there’s something for everyone.

And don’t miss the very first Fremlin Fest music spectacular on Saturday 9th August. This free music event will feature local musicians and headline act, Mike Hough, fresh from supporting JLS on their goodbye tour. If you think you have what it takes to steal the musical spotlight at the first #FremlinFest, contact Fremlin Walk to discover how you could perform on stage! Visit or check Fremlin Walk’s Facebook page for more information.
