We were treated to a stunning tasting menu complete with wine for every course when we visited The Vine, and the delicious food, great wine pairing (all explained with a story and a reason behind the choice by host Bernt) and vibrant, friendly atmosphere combined to make this an evening to remember.
The Vine is a special place in a special town. It deserves to be visited – again and again.

About The Vine Restaurant, 11 Pound Lane, Sevenoaks

The Vine is an independent restaurant in the centre of Sevenoaks, offering contemporary and relaxed fine dining. The restaurant seats up to 100 diners and includes an elegant private dining room, perfect for parties, special occasions and corporate events.

Diner experience is at the heart of the business and as a result The Vine offers a warm, friendly and welcoming environment for guests to enjoy fantastic cooking, good wine and great personal service.

The Vine also operates Vine Events, an events catering service, which offers quality bespoke catering and waiting service for weddings, parties and corporate events across Kent and the South East.

A former pub, the Vine Tavern, was bought by husband and wife team, Bernt and Kathleen Bouverie, in 2006 and lovingly transformed into a stylish restaurant. Bernt and Kathleen are central to the business; with the wine list and cellar maintained by master sommelier Bernt and the business and events service managed by Kathleen.

Head chef, Alan Irwin, is passionate about creating contemporary classic cuisine, which champions the very best quality seasonal ingredients. Trained under Michelin-starred chef, Andy McLeish, in the kitchens at Chapter One, Alan leads a team of talented kitchen staff, all of whom strive to deliver classic dishes with wonderful flavours.
