The Walnuts Shopping Centre investment in new WC facilities for Visitors

The Walnuts Shopping Centre has undergone another phase of improvement works with the completion of new toilet facilities for visitors to the Shopping Centre. This follows the closure of the Public Toilets in Market Square previously managed and run by Orpington BID (Orpington 1st).

The Owners of the Walnuts Shopping Centre – Rockspring, the Centre Owners, have invested in the region of £300,000 to provide visitors with these new facilities which are sited inside the Centre opposite Argos. They include a purpose built baby change/ nursing room, as well as adapted facilities for disabled visitors. The specially designed space has also incorporated features to provide a “Dementia friendly” facility using expert advice received from The Alzheimer’s Society on how to achieve this. We believe we are the first to offer such facility in the London Borough of Bromley. The new facilities are now open to visitors to the Centre.

Centre Manager Martin Price said “ We are delighted that the Walnuts can now offer these facilities to all our visitors. We hope that by being fully inclusive to all our local community, it will provide  people with a better experience when coming into town to shop, or meet friends to enjoy the other entertainment offers now available here.”
