Saturday 27th August

A spectacular firework display sponsored by the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust will launch the festivities on the evening of August 27th. Food outlets will be on and plus a stall selling flashing wands for the children.

Sunday 28th August

Sunday promises to be a really busy day commencing at 11a.m.’ with numerous stalls catering for all ages, stilt walkers, Punch & Judy, Folkestone Party Mascots, workshops, live music by a steel band playing at the Ship, plus a special performance by Sandgate Castle at 2p.m. of “WILD FLOWERS WOMEN’S CHOIR” and much more.

On the water subject to weather conditions there will be raft racing organised by the “FOLKESTONE ROWING CLUB”. This is an excellent opportunity to sample the excellent cuisine provided by our food stalls washed down with some really fine ales from the famous beer festival held at “THE SHIP INN”.

An “ARTS & CRAFT FAIR” will be open in the Chichester Memorial Hall from 11am until 4pm

The Old Fire Station located in Sandgate High Street will be open where members of the Sandgate Society will be holding an archive exhibition, offering refreshments and selling their promotional material. “THE FOLKESTONE CAMERA CLUB” will be holding an exhibition in Sandgate Library from 11am until 4pm on both the Saturday & Sunday. There is also an HG Wells exhibition on display in the library.
