Days Out

Thomas the Tank Engine is Back!

Thomas the Tank engine is steaming back to Tenterden to star at the biggest event in the Kent & East Sussex Railway calendar.

Thomas will be hauling special trains to Rolvenden and back, on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July and his passengers can hop-on and off and ride as many times as they like during the day.

As well as enjoying unlimited rides, children can meet the Fat Controller and his friends Rusty & Dusty, join in the fun and entertainment including face-painting, bouncy castles, soft play, storytelling and magic shows, station scenarios with Rusty & Dusty, enjoy screenings of Thomas and Friends television series and take part in the colouring along with other activities in the Imagination Station.

KESR spokesman Helen Douglas said: “We are delighted to welcome back everyone’s favourite “Really Useful Engine” from Sodor this September.  The joy and excitement we see on the faces of the hundreds of children who come to see Thomas and join in the fun never ceases to thrill our volunteers! This year, we have reduced the price of our family ticket, which offers a big discount.”

A Family Ticket for two adults and two children is £50. Individual tickets are adults £18, children 18 months to 15 years inclusive £13.50.  Babes in arms under 18 months are carried free, provided they do not occupy a seat.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.dayoutwiththomas.co.uk/kentandeastsussexrailway or by calling 01580 765155.   Please visit www.kesr.org.uk for further information about the railway.
