Thousands of free tickets to Kent tourist attractions to be won as the Kent Big Day Out returns

Your annual opportunity to WIN free tickets to a host of attractions and activities across the county is returning for 2022! The Kent Big Weekend is back – and rebranded as the Big Day Out for 2022! Instead of just one weekend of fun, we’ve extended your tickets so you and your loved ones can enjoy an even bigger Kent adventure, with lucky ticket holders being able to redeem their days out between 17th September until 14th October.

If you’re a Kent resident, you can apply tickets to this year’s fantastic offers and free tickets available right on your doorstep on our website, from Tuesday 23rd August. All you need to do to get involved is enter the online ballot before 6th September for your chance to win a pair of free tickets to top attractions across the county.

Some of the county’s biggest attractions have already signed up to take part in this year’s event, such as Canterbury Cathedral, Balfour Winery, English Heritage, Elmley Nature Reserve, Gusbourne, Hever Castle and Gardens, Howletts Wild Animal Park, National Trust, Leeds Castle, Penshurst Place and Gardens, Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve, Rochester Castle, Simpsons Wine Estate, The Historic Dockyard Chatham and Shepherd Neame.

And they’ll be plenty of hidden gems just waiting for you to discover! Many of Kent’s historical highlights have given hundreds of tickets –from the ancient Lullingstone Roman Villa and Canterbury Roman Museum, through to ‘Motte and Bailey’ Tonbridge Castle and Dickens House Museum – and get your aviation history fix with tickets to The Battle of Britain Memorial and Biggin Hill Memorial Museum. Similarly, over 200 tickets to Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex House and Gardens will make for an informative but beautiful day out. More days exploring outdoors could soon be in your diary with tickets to Riverhill Himalayan Gardens up for grabs, and animal lovers will have their fingers crossed for tickets to places like Wilder Kent Safaris and Wildwood Trust. You might be embarking on sporty activities like Chimera Climbing, heading to the water with Action Watersports and even scuba diving with Nemes Diving and Water Sports Academy – or sitting back and enjoying a locally produced tipple with Canterbury Brewers and Distillers or Old Dairy Brewery. Finally, even overnight stays at gems such as Best Western Clifton Hotel Folkestone, Best Western Plus Dover Marina Hotel & Spa and Holiday Inn Dover are ready for the winning too.

Residents can apply for as many pairs of tickets as they like at until 6th September. Following this, two tickets (one pair) per household will be allocated at random by ballot and winners will be notified via email.

The Kent Big Day Out team are also continuing to add new tickets as part of this year’s ballot, so if you are a Kent -based business and you’d like to be part of this year’s event, simply get in touch at as soon as possible.
