tmactive appoints Heart of Kent Hospice as tmactive150 Charity of the Year 2019
tmactive has named Heart of Kent Hospice as its Charity of the Year 2019, pledging its support to the charity to raise funds, as well as awareness to the essential service they provide to the local community.
Employers of tmactive, the not-for-profit organisation which runs Larkfield Leisure Centre, Angel Centre, Tonbridge Swimming Pool and Poult Wood Golf Course on behalf of Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, voted to support the charity that cares for around 1,500 patients and their families each year.
Established in 1991, the charity provides exceptional care for people facing the challenge of living with a terminal illness in Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge, Malling and surrounding areas. The Hospice has built an excellent reputation within the local community for the quality of care which has been further endorsed by the Care Quality Commission who gave the Hospice an overall rating of Outstanding following an inspection in February 2017.
tmactive will work with the charity to host a number of fundraising events over the next 12 months, as well as offer customers the opportunity to donate their tmactive Reward Points to provide prizes to the charity – points will be converted into memberships, and activity sessions, which the charity can then raffle.
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Heart of Kent Hospice. This is the second year we have partnered with a charity after working with Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex in 2018, and are looking forward to getting as many of our employees and customers involved as possible to raise funds for this worthy cause,” says Martin Guyton, CEO of tmactive.
