Unexpected performances delivered direct to Thanet households

Theatres closed. Community gatherings confined to small ‘isolation bubbles’ – what can be done

when an arts company’s guiding mission is to bring adventure to people through LIVE performance?

As a leading producer of new performance work in Thanet, Looping the Loop has designed an in-genious solution to bring laughter and fun to Thanet households. The show must go on!

The Unexpected Performance Service (or ‘UPS’ for short) is the ultimate delivery solution. A 15-
minute socially-distanced performance delivered by professional actors, RIGHT TO YOUR DOOR!
Think “Just Eat”, but with food for the soul rather than the stomach. This July, Thanet households can book a visit from Nearly Normal’s Dog Agility Team – featuring three talented but unpredictable puppet dogs, Gladys, Mabel and Marjorie. Directed by Looping the Loop’s Ellie Jones it’s a family show in the truest sense – Ellie performs with husband and pro-fessional actor, Steve, and 10-year old son Sam!

Over the last five years, Looping the Loop has enlivened Thanet’s high streets, seafronts, parks and shopping centres with We Are Nearly Normal; a choreographed street theatre performance team who have appeared as the Dog Agility Team, Cupids, Librarians, Space Cadets and even Social Dancers. Now we come to you, with a short performance delivered (contactless) direct to your door.

We’ll also throw in free dog puppet-making kits for younger members of the audience! Neighbours are welcome to watch the performance providing they observe social distancing. Performances are £30.00 per household (including bookings fees.)

“He didn’t stop talking about it un3l bed3me. It has added a whole new dimension to his play,
par3cularly at the moment when real life friends haven’t played at his house for over 4 months.
10/10” Amy Redmond, Margate.

“Brilliant, imaginative and entertaining” Gillian Chamberlain, Birchington.
