Updown Farmhouse, Harneet Baweja Cooks an Indian Winter Feast | 26th January

Updown Farmhouse are kicking off the new year with their guest chef series in collaboration with Harneet Baweja of Gunpowder and Empire Empire on Friday 26th January. 
Harneet, originally from Kolkata, will bring his Indian roots and explosive flavours to Updown, working with Oli Brown to create a menu centred around seasonal British produce and dishes reminiscent of Harneet’s childhood in India. Bringing his inimitable modern Indian cooking to Updown, Harneet will be cooking a whole Kashmiri spiced lamb in Updown’s beautiful wood oven.

Harneet’s menu will kick off with an Aviation apéritif, paired with flat bread containing achari artichoke, peppers & leeks theca. Next up will be the whole lamb with kashmiri ghee seasoning, grilled aubergine & crispy kale salad, mustard malai broccoli and jeera aloo gratin. To finish off the evening, Harneet will serve a spiced apple and fig crumble with a pink peppercorn custard.
